Doctor Tomchik has practiced family medicine, preventive medicine, and emergency room medicine for over 27 years. He is board certified in Preventive Medicine.

Doctor Tomchik received his medical training at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed his internship in Family Practice at the University of South Carolina and his residency in Preventive Medicine at the University of Michigan.

In 1999, Doctor Tomchik entered private practice; he formed Health Circle at that time, in Pembroke Pines, Florida. His new, permanent office was built in Miramar, Florida in June 2000 where he practices to this day.

Nurse Practitioner Penelope Cuoco, also known as Penny, has been practicing as a nurse for over 24 years, and as a Nurse Practitioner for over 15 years. She was worked as a staff nurse, a Trauma Nurse Specialist, Trauma Nurse Liaison, and a Nurse Practitioner.

Having known Doctor Tomchik for several years, Penny and him agreed to establish a business partnership, and in January 2008, Penny joined Health Circle to help meet the demands of a growing primary care practice, and in particular to help provide intimate and comfortable care for women, such as well woman examinations.

Special Programs and Procedures

• Vaccine for Children (VFC) program provides free vaccines to children. A $10 administration fee applies which covers all required vaccines. A required school or sports physical exam is $80.
• Physician supervised weight loss program. Initial fee of $95 for the first month includes an examination, program book, and 2 or more office visits. Our fee thereafter is $65 per month for 2 or more office visits a month. Cost of medication, if prescribed, is not included.
• Cosmetics procedures including laser hair removal, skin repair and skin rejuvenation performed in the safety, privacy and friendliness of the neighborhood family doctor's office.
• Stress testing to detect problems with your heart before a heart attack. Stress tests are covered by most insurance companies, you will only need to pay your standard co-pay, if you have one.
• Physicals for school, sports, Immigration and Naturalization (INS), and Criminal Justice (CJ).
• Physician administered vitamins and supplements to help prevent illness.
